Verve Culture

Verve Culture is a women-owned house of artisan-made kitchen, home, and lifestyle objects sourced from Mexico, Morocco, Thailand, Italy, and India. Every piece is crafted in its country of origin by partner artisans. Never mass-produced. We were entrusted with reimagining their Shopify storefront into a global marketplace that carries the maker’s hand all the way to the customer’s door.

Challenges

Depth Without Direction - Verve Culture spans five countries of origin, a catalog of hand-cast juicers, hand-thrown ceramics, hand-blown glassware, and small-batch gourmet provisions, and a customer who buys as much for meaning as for utility. The existing storefront flattened a richly textured catalog. Storytelling assets, recipes, artisan portraits, and editorial features in VOGUE, Forbes, Epicurious, Michelin Guide, Real Simple, and Refinery29 lived apart from the path to purchase. A dimension inconsistency on the flagship Artisan Citrus Juicer was distorting shipping economics, the shipping app layer needed rationalizing, and an aging reviews widget was suppressing years of earned social proof.
The brief: translate cultural depth into commercial clarity, without compromising either.

Solutions

A Marketplace, Recomposed - We rearchitected the storefront around three intuitions: shop by culture, shop by occasion, shop by category. Dedicated collection surfaces were built for Italy, Morocco, Thailand, Mexico, and India, each anchored by an artisan dedication. A Gift Ideas mega-menu was composed by price, by recipient, and by passion. Category pages for Juicers, Specialty Kitchenware, Chef Knives, Gourmet Food, Ceramics, Glassware, and Lifestyle & Decor were treated with editorial restraint.
Beneath the surface, we deployed a dimension fix on the Artisan Citrus Juicer to restore shipping integrity, migrated the brand to Bespoke Shipping for cleaner rate logic, upgraded Yotpo to Widget 3.0 to bring earned reviews and UGC forward, and stood up Triple Whale for unified attribution. Recipes, artisan portraits, and press recognition were woven into every collection and product page so the narrative compounds with every scroll toward checkout.

Collection Page

Collections Page: Provenance, Presented

Each country of origin is given its own collection page, opening with an artisan dedication: “We are honored to work with the artisans in Morocco who we have partnered with in order to bring these products to all of you.” Sub-category chips for Ceramics, Glassware, Lifestyle & Decor, and Music let the shopper refine without losing cultural context.
Generous white space, considered photography, and pricing that respects the work create a browsing experience that mirrors the quality of the objects themselves. The architecture scales gracefully across every culture in the catalog.

Navigation as Discovery

Verve Culture is a gifting brand as much as a kitchen brand. We designed a Gift Ideas mega-menu that mirrors how thoughtful gift-givers actually think: by price (Gifts Under $50, Gifts Under $100), by recipient (For Him, For Her), and by passion (For the Chocolate Lover, Stocking Stuffers, Gourmet Food, Relaxation & Wellness, Music Lover).
Curated tiles for Gift Bundles, For the Bartender, For the Foodies, and For the Home Chefs turn the menu itself into a moment of inspiration.

Product Page

Craft, Proof, Conversion

Product pages were rebuilt to do three things at once, beautifully: honor the artisan, prove the craft, and remove friction at the moment of decision.
Each page opens with the maker’s process, “Hand-thrown red clay is dried in the sun, fired in 200-year-old kilns, and glazed with rich saturated colors,” paired with a 4.8-star Yotpo review block and a clean variant selector with Shop Pay installment options.
Expandable Size, Care, and Shipping panels keep the page composed while giving committed buyers every detail they require.

The Signature Object

The Artisan Citrus Juicer is Verve Culture’s signature object. Hand-cast in recycled aluminum by Mexican artisans. Equally at home as a kitchen heirloom or a bar centerpiece.

We built it a product experience worthy of that status: a full-bleed editorial layout, a sticky variant selector with color and size, and a considered “Find out what’s the right size for you” helper to reduce return friction. Expandable Material & Care, Dimensions, and Shipping & Returns panels reveal detail on demand.
