Acme Smoked Fish
Acme Smoked Fish is one of North America's most established smoked fish brands, serving retailers, delis, bagel shops, foodservice buyers, and wholesale customers across a complex B2B network. Makro built a custom Shopify B2B portal connected to Acme's ERP system, making wholesale ordering easier across pricing, branches, invoices, order history, and customer accounts. The new platform gives Acme's buyers a simpler way to place orders online while helping internal teams manage B2B activity with less manual work.
Complex by Nature
Acme needed a better way to move B2B ordering online without losing the complexity of its wholesale business. The portal had to support changing product prices, branch-level access, customer-specific products, inventory, invoices, and order history. Some products could not use standard fixed pricing because final pricing depends on weight, market conditions, or daily rates. Acme also needed different users to see the right account, branch, and ordering information based on their role.
Built for B2B Flow
Makro built a custom Shopify B2B portal connected to Acme's Infor M3 ERP system. The new experience lets buyers order online, view account details, switch between branches, see relevant products, and access order and invoice information in one place. Makro also created a pricing flow for products with changing prices. Buyers can place orders with estimated pricing, then see final pricing once the order is processed through Acme's ERP system.
